User:Untethered

Let's see....I guess I'm a bit like William Surowiec. Found what I liked doing early on in my life, and really can't imagine myself doing much else. Big difference would be I've not been doing this for as long (only around 10 years myself).

I started programming, switched over to the systems administration side a few years later. I'm one of those SAs who creates lots and lots of scripts to help me out with my day to day. So, I guess I'm still a little bit of a programmer except many of my programs are rarely used by anybody other then myself. This of course means that my user interfaces are pretty bad :). These day's I find myself mostly battling server entropy and have over the last few years have developed a passion for creating highly redundant systems that 'don't break' from the user's perspective.

Jer roped me into this project to help get the servers going and keep them going. So, if you have a problem with the box, I'm defiantly a guy you can talk to about getting it fixed. I'll also be (hopefully) becoming a bit more active with the programming side of things then I have been for the last 3ish years. Yes, I'll likely be writing code that other people use again. Woe to them and having to decode my cryptic user interfaces.

Looking forward to it, sounds like it'll be fun.
